Hong Kong welcomes with an iconic skyline, and lush, protected nature where rare birds and colourful traditions thrive.

Hong Kong Island can sometimes seem like a bustling, chaotic city speeding forward at a crazy pace but when you need to get away from that there is so much to do to connect back to nature. Hikes, visits to the beaches and small seaside towns and fishing villages or just getting away for a walk through the forests is so easy and great when you need a break from city life.  It is also easy to catch a cheap flight if you want to explore further afield!

The city has communities of people from all over the world and they come together in so many ways: bars, festivals, markets and creative eateries all over the city.

It has great local food that is distinct to Hong Kong, there is so much to try.  It also offers cuisine from all over the world – Korean, American, Japanese, Thai.

Education in Hong Kong is largely modelled on the United Kingdom system, children are required to attend school from the age of six until completion of secondary education, generally at age 18.

The climate in Hong Kong is subtropical, summer is hot and humid with occasional showers and thunderstorms. Winters are mild and usually sunny at the beginning, becoming cloudy towards February; cold front brings strong, cooling winds from the north.
