About the Position

Head of English – Malaysia. We are seeking an experienced English Teacher for an international school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This opportunity is to start in August 2020.

Candidates should hold a relevant qualification (either at Degree or Diploma level) have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Previous experience in an international school environment is required. Native English Speakers preferred.

The school opened in early 2017 and focuses on providing a mix of the British curriculum alongside the best of Asian values and education to give students a truly world-class, international education. The school provides students with a quality education at all levels, and accepts students at aged 3 into the early years program, then onto the International Primary Curriculum for ages 5-11. Students can progress onto the British secondary system with key stages 3, taking iGCSE exams.

About the School

The school teaches the IPC curriculum for Primary, the British curriculum for secondary, and the iGCSE curriculum. The school offers large lecture halls and classrooms, computer labs and science labs and state of the art facilities that include a swimming pool, track and field arena, multipurpose hall, gym and dance studios. Qualification and Requirements

Candidates should hold a relevant qualification (either at Degree or Diploma level), and a PGCE and have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Previous experience in an international school environment is required. Native English Speakers preferred. The ability to teach GCSE English is essential and A level English would be very beneficial. Native English proficiency and a valid passport from one of the following countries: UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand is also required.
