About the Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced male Maths Coordinator for an international school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Jeddah is the urban centre of western Saudi Arabia, and is the second largest city in the country, after Riyadh. With a population of 4.2 million, Jeddah is dubbed ‘the most easygoing city in the Kingdom – not to mention its most beguiling’ by the Lonely Planet, with particular mention of its ‘beautiful coral architecture’, ‘upscale department stores and malls’ and ‘international cuisine and seafood’. It is also highlighted as a great location for diving.

We are recruiting a male Maths Coordinator for the middle and high school of a non-profit international school who have a girls school, a boys school and a kindergarten in the heart of Jeddah. This school teaches to international standards in Maths, Science and Languages, culminating in an American Diploma. They also assist students through SAT and TOEFL exams, to ensure students have the best possible access to quality local and international university education. The school are seeking teachers with at least 3 years of experience teaching post qualification, who are qualified and experienced with either the American or British systems, and who are keen to help students to achieve to the best of their abilities. The school has a focus on technology in the classroom, so teachers keen to use a range of technology in teaching and learning are very welcome. Candidates should be open to different cultures and be able to work well as part of a team, to ensure success in all areas of teaching and learning.

About the School

This small group of schools was established in 1983 as a non-profit private school aimed at providing international standard education to children in Jeddah. The schools include one girls school, one boys school and a kindergarten. The self-contained campus has a focus on technology, and encourages both students and staff to use technology in their teaching learning. There’s a wide range of extra-curricular activities across sports and creative arts, alongside the core subjects learning. The school has children from 3-18 years. The school has deep-rooted Islamic values, whilst being open to cultural values from around the world.

Qualification and Requirements

Candidates should be qualified teachers with a relevant teaching qualification, degree or diploma, and at least 3 years of experience teaching either the American or British curriculum. Candidates should also hold a bachelor or master degree in the subject they will be teaching, or closely related. We are seeking teachers who are fluent in English language and able to work well as part of a team, who are seeking professional growth and development in their teaching career.
